Paper One: Introduction
When I first looked at the prompt for paper 1, I thought to myself: I really can't relate to Harry Potter, I just like the story and the characters. I started to think about all the different scenes in the books and I found myself really emotional when Hedwig and Dobby died. I realized then that I could completely relate to the scenes when these two innocent, beloved characters died so tragically and so quickly. Writing a memoir was something that I had never done before and I was extremely nervous to start my first paper for the class. I needed to include a personal change, an analysis of that change and how it connects to Harry Potter, something that I never had to do before. The conventions of the memoir I chose were to be detailed while sharing the story and to share the underlying message with your reader. It sounded extremely hard at first, but as I started writing I was able to be detailed when necessary and extremely blunt when the message needed to be reach to the audience.
