So What?
Here I stand at the end of my journey through ENC 1145 a better person. I started this class thinking I would write the papers and give as little as possible, seeing as english has nothing to do with my major. I have never been one to give something just a little, I always give everything all I have, but I just did not think this class was that important. As you can see, I was extremely wrong. Once the class started I searched myself and found that I am a passionate person and decided that I would have to put a lot of effort to truly succeed in the class. When I received the first prompt I thought I would never reach any goal I would set myself in this class. I then received the second prompt and I thought I surely needed to get out of this class as soon as possible, but as I said I am passionate and I never quit on anything. After I had tackled the Beast, Logan told us that we would make our research come to life and tell people of everything we have learned. I literally wanted to crawl in a hole and never come out because this time I knew for sure I would not be able to do it. Much to my surprise I accomplished everything that I wanted to within the third assignment.
Logan taught me to never give up and to not stop until you are proud of your work. Yes, I could have given more effort and thought on both of my papers, but looking back I would not change anything that I did. I have learned so much more than I ever thought I would learn and I could not be more grateful. Logan could tell you, we became email buddies over the semester because I always had a question. It was probably annoying to him, but he answered every email which is really admirable. This class has taught me to be passionate about things you might not think are important because they will become important to you. I take pride in everything I did this semester in this class, whether it was all of those blogs, the class discussions, or just reading the impossible Storey book.
I take away many different, important ideas with me. I take away a new work ethic, only turning in what I am the upmost proud of. I learned that even when an idea seems impossible to grasp, it is not and with help you can learn it and even incorporate it in your papers. I now know that I am a good writer and that I can produce a good, smart paper. Even though I am a science major and one day writing papers will have no impact on my grades, without this class I know I would not have even made it to that spot. I will look back on this class and know that I learned many important, necessary life lessons and it is because of Logan that I found who I am my first semester at The Florida State University. I am so pleased with my work and I hope that you enjoyed looking through my journey through this class.
